Artist Soshana to exhibit at Hotel Acapulco Hilton
Mexico City Times, Mexico, December 15, 1964

FAMOUS ARTIST Pablo Picasso upon seeing the works of Vienna-born Soshana (pictured above with Picasso) remarked, "I think Soshana has talent," words of high praise from a great painter.

The Vienna-born artist, Soshana, will open an exhibition of new paintings at the Acapulco Hilton Dec. 19, continuing through Dec. 29.
Soshana has travelled throughout the world, with a couple of trips to Mexico. Her current journey here began Oct 13 and most of the canvases she’ll exhibit in Acapulco are Mexican themes. She plans to return to Mexico next year.
"Mexico has something that always makes you want to come back," she remarked. The southern part of the country reminds her a great deal of the southern part of India where she has spent a lot of time doing sketches.
Following the Acapulco exhibit, Soshana will have exhibitions in February and March in the Standford Museum in Connecticut and in a gallery in Hartford, Conn. In May and June her works will be shown in the Schalottengburg Art Museum in Berlin and also in Munich.
Picasso drew a portrait of Soshana in costume which he gave to her along with generous advice on her work. In 1962 the famous painter said of the young Viennese: "I think Soshana has talent."
Her paintings have been exhibited in Addis_Ababa, Antibes, Brussels, Havana, Johannesburg, London, Paris, Peking, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco, Tokyo, Zurich, etc. Her works hang in permanent collections of many internationally famous art museums and in the private collections of Adlai Stevenson, U.S.A.; M. Rheims, Eli de Rotchild, Jean-Paul Sartre, Paris; and Cyril Lord, England.
